PreK Social Group - Winter 2025!
WHAT
This 6-week social group is focused on communication, interaction, and engagement amongst preschoolers age 2.5-4 years utilizing the DIR philosophy, which emphasizes complex social problem solving, emotional thinking, logical thinking, and multiple perspective thinking.
The goal is to provide each participant with the opportunity to practice skills like:
Connecting over shared interests
Collaborating together to achieve a common goal
Compromising when needed to help everyone get their individual needs met
The activities each week will be planned by the participants with the role of the therapist being that of a facilitator, rather than a leader, to help execute the ideas created by the kids. Participants in this friendship-building adventure will benefit from the unique opportunity to play, talk, and learn with their peers in super fun activities with the guidance and support of a trained specialist.
